Kashmir’s pickle king to set benchmark

While meandering through the narrow alleyways in Habba Kadal, a buzzing downtown in Kashmir's capital, you come across a pickle shop owned by a man who has beaten the record, by preparing one hundred varieties of these delicious, spicy pickles.

As you step inside the shop, you are greeted by the enticing aroma of spices wafting through the cold December air. 

Haji Ghulam Qadir Sunoo and his pickles are the talk of the town. The buzz around these pickles has spread far and wide, even outside Kashmir. 

Ghulam Qadir Sunoo has much deservedly earned the title Pickle King of Kashmir. He serves a whole range of pickles with wide varieties, each with a different flavor. 

Qadir took to pickle-making business in late 1980s after he suffered heavy losses in transport business. He lost his wife and two children during two decades of conflict in this disputed region. 

Qadir's varieties of pickles include chicken, mutton, vegetable, fish, mango, garlic and cherry. The non-vegetarian ones are hot sellers, particularly during winters. People come to his shop from different regions to relish the delicious pickles. Qadir says that many of his pickles have health benefits and help in preventing many diseases. 

Qadir is planning to add more varieties to the list. 

Experts say that regular eating of different pickles is beneficial for patients suffering from heart diseases, diabetes, high cholesterol, and respiratory problems. 

Known for their distinctive flavor and sophisticated preparation, Ghulam Qadir's pickles have always been in the news. He wants to set a benchmark for new generation of pickle makers in this part of the world. 

Kashmir's ski resort opens for winter sports

Winter is the exciting time to be in Indian-administered Kashmir. Enveloped by dense carpet of snow, most of the hill resorts in this Himalayan region present a delightful picture at this time of year. Winter is also the time for games and sports related activities on high slopes which attract visitors from across the world.

Often described as the 'heartland of winter sports in India', this year again, Gulmarg is being thronged by record number of tourists for the snow festival. 

The week-long festival on the breathtaking slopes of this world-famous picturesque hill resort kicked off on Tuesday, coinciding with Christmas celebrations. 

Gulmarg resort is one of the best ski destinations in Asia. It attracts thousands of visitors and ski lovers from different parts of the world for the week-long sports carnival. 

Among the main attractions this year will be snow cycling, ice skating, sledge race, snow rugby, and night skiing, which is rare in this part of the world. 

Gulmarg offers best slopes for amateur and professional skiers, who weave their magic on ice much to the delight of spectators. 

Situated at an altitude of 2730 meters above sea level, Gulmarg boasts of the world's highest ski lift in the world at dizzying 4,120 meters. 

Indian Institute of Skiing and Mountaineering has also started its skiing courses in which hundreds of students will be trained ever year. 

Gulmarg has been declared the Winter Games Capital of India by Winter Games Federation of India. 

Kashmir's Tourism department is expecting a massive rush of visitors and sports buffs as the festival progresses. 

The people associated with tourism industry are expecting to reap rich dividends from the festival this year. 

Kashmir mass uprising leaves many disabled

Indian-administered Kashmir was rocked by widespread anti government protests between 2008 to 2010, which left more than 200 people dead, most of them youth and many more maimed for life.

Family members of these youth say they face a real challenge as it is extremely difficult to bear the medical expenses. 

18-year-old Mohammad Javed Pathan was hit by a live bullet on his leg. After undergoing seven operations, his leg was finally amputated. 

The only son of his parents, Javed was a promising sportsman. He says the bullet has shattered his dreams for ever. 

Javed's father is a manual labourer. His mother says they are facing lot of hardships to meet Javed's exorbitant medical expenses. 

Javed's is not the isolated case. There are scores of teenagers who have suffered nervous breakdown and have been rendered disabled. 

Yawar Ibrahim was hit by a teargas shell on his head. He is disabled now. He needs someone to feed him and to hold him while walking or going to washroom. He can not speak properly, and vaguely recalls the incident that changed his life forever. 

She says the family has sold out almost everything to bear the expenses. 

Doctors say he will remain paralysed for life from one side of his body, and would even lose the ability to speak. 

Having been rendered disabled for life, the going is getting extremely tough for these victims who suffered critical injuries during the anti-government mass uprising between 2008 and 2010. Families are finding it difficult to bear their exorbitant medical expenses, and no help seems to be coming their way.

Kashmiris eat Harissa as winter specialty

As mercury takes a dip and cold wintry waves sweep across Indian administered Kashmir, there are many different ways people in this Himalayan region try to keep themselves warm.

With the onset of winters every year, people here turn to traditional spicy meat porridge called "Harissa" to beat the freezing cold. 

Harissa shops are thronged by people particularly in early mornings hours. 

These shops are mostly dark and smoky. Some people prefer to order it home, while many others believe that the real taste of Harissa can be relished sitting next to the traditional cylindrical clay oven from which it is served. 

Harissa is usually made during the cold winter months. People say because of its unique blend of Kashmiri spices, this delicious recipe helps them stay warm. 

Preparing Harissa is a hard work. The mutton is first cooked under mild temperature, and bones are then separated from it, the boneless mutton is then mixed with rice and varied spices. This mixture is stirred constantly till it is thick. Hot oil is then poured on top and served with fresh bread. 

Besides being a sumptuous fast food, Harissa has health benefits as well. Experts say that this winter specialty prevents hypothermia in harsh winters, and is highly appetizing for the stomach.

Amnesty International calls for independent probe into HR violations in Kashmir

Reacting to the recently released report by Kashmir's human rights activists documenting gross human rights abuses over the past two decades in Kashmir, international human rights watchdog - Amnesty International - has called for an impartial probe into the allegations against Indian security forces accused of committing gross human rights violations in Indian controlled Kashmir.

Amnesty International expressed concern that even the exhaustive compilation of evidence by International People's Tribunal on Human Rights and Justice would fail to lead to prosecution as government of India has been reluctant to grant sanctions to prosecute. 

The report prepared by veteran human rights activists and lawyers lists more than 200 pending cases of rights violations in Kashmir and seeks to identify the role of 500 alleged perpetrators including army and police officers, in these violations. 

Human rights observers in Kashmir have welcomed Amnesty International's statement calling upon Indian govt to order investigations into the human rights abuse cases in Kashmir, but they are not sure if it will drastically change the situation on ground, which continues to remain volatile. 

Political analysts believe that Armed Forces Special Powers Act has emboldened the security forces operating in Kashmir and the law has fostered a culture of impunity in this region. 

Even as the clamour grows and Amnesty International also chips in to demand an impartial probe into the allegations of human rights abuses in this restive Himalayan region, the authorities continue to remain tight-lipped over the issue.

Kashmiris slam alleged rights violations by Indian forces

Braving the December chill, people in Indian-administered Kashmir have staged a sit-in protest, ahead of the International Human Rights Day, demanding strict action against the security forces accused of kidnapping their missing relatives.

Seeking the whereabouts of their relatives and friends subjected to custodial disappearances, protesters called upon the federal government of Kashmir to form an independent commission to probe the complaints of enforced disappearances, extra judicial killings, torture, rape and other human rights abuses allegedly committed by Indian security forces over the past two decades. They criticised government of India for denying justice to the families of missing persons. 

Rukhsana's father was arrested more than a decade ago when she was only 11. She has traveled about 40 miles to join the protest. 

Human rights groups claim that around 8000 people have been subjected to enforced disappearance by Indian security forces in this Muslim-majority region. 

International human rights watchdog bodies including United Nation Human Rights Commission (UNHRC) and Amnesty International (AI) have repeatedly castigated India for its poor human rights record in Indian-administered-Kashmir. 

State-run human rights commission has received about 6000 complaints in last 15 years that speaks volumes about the rampant human rights abuses in this restive region. 

Political observers believe the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) is the root cause of the human rights abuses happening with sheer impunity. The law gives sweeping powers to security forces to kill, arrest, or destroy property on mere suspicion. 

Human rights groups have long been demanding revocation of Armed Forces Special Powers Act, but the government says that time is not yet ripe for the withdrawal of the law. Indian government has called for zero tolerance regarding human rights abuses in this region. 

Regional and International human rights bodies have time and again criticised India over its horrible human rights record in Kashmir. Ahead of International Human Rights Day, people of Kashmir are yet again protesting against what they call travesty of justice in the largest democracy.

Life sentences to Kashmiri prisoners spark protest

People in Indian-administered Kashmir have demonstrated to voice serious concerns and express their umbrage against the life sentences awarded to Kashmiri prisoners by Indian courts for killing officer of the Indian border security force.

Hundreds of people took to streets in Kashmir's summer capital after Friday prayers to protest life sentences awarded to the long detained political prisoners, calling it a travesty of justice and a desperate attempt to subvert the will of the people of Kashmir. Police used heavy tear gassing and cane charge to break up demonstrators who retaliated with stone pelting. 

Police arrested dozens of protestors, including chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front, Mohammad Yasin Malik, during the demonstration. 

According to reports, at least 20 Kashmiri youth facing sedition charges have been sentenced to life in the past 18 months alone. 

Pro-independence groups claim that in some cases, sentences have been awarded to prisoners who have already spent more than a decade in prison. 

An all-women pro-independence group also staged a protest demonstration to demand the release of Kashmiri detainees. 

According to human rights observers, hundreds of Kashmiris are suffering in different jails across India. 

Imroz says that detainees’ are harassed and maltreated by the jail authorities. 

The long-standing debate over the fair trail of detainees and dispensation of justice in this Himalayan region has got a fresh impetus as more Kashmiri detainees lodged in various Indian jails get life terms. Ironically, some of them have already spent more than a decade behind bars.

Kashmir Muslim panel appeals for calm

There has been no let up in the protests and clashes that have rocked the summer capital of Indian-administered Kashmir over sacrilegious inscriptions on footwear.

Fresh clashes erupted in parts of Srinagar, forcing authorities to re-impose curfew in these areas. Barbed wires have been stretched across roads leading to old Srinagar city. Security forces have been deployed in strength to in sensitive areas to maintain law and order. 

As the storm brews over the religious inscriptions on a footwear of a foreign brand, religious leaders in Kashmir see the hand of foreign elements having links with US and Israeli agencies. They have cautioned people to remain vigilant against divisive and anti-Islam forces to defeat their sinister plots. 

A joint panel of religious and pro-independence parties met in central Kashmir to discuss the issue. The meeting was attended by heads and representatives of all the Islamic schools of thought in Kashmir. 

Mirwaiz said that enemies of Islam are trying to divide Muslims as part of a global conspiracy. 

Cutting across religious and political lines, leaders in this disputed region have strongly condemned the deplorable bids attempting to threaten traditional Muslim unity in Kashmir.

Kashmir witnessing unprecedented tourist rush

After a long time, Indian administered Kashmir is witnessing unprecedented rush of tourists with hotels and resorts flooded with visitors. Over 150,000 tourists have visited Kashmir in last two months alone. The authorities are expecting the figure to pick up during winter season.

According to tourism officials, so far over one million tourists have visited Kashmir this year. 

With United Kingdom having lifted the two-decade old advisory for its nationals against travel to this disputed Himalayan region, people involved in tourism industry are expecting a good winter season ahead. 

Despite the massive influx of tourists, the situation on ground continues to remain fragile. Kashmir's top pro-independence leader Syed Ali Geelani recently threatened to launch a statewide agitation over government's proposal to build a concrete road to a Hindu cave shrine, which is flocked by half a million each year. 

Pertinently, a massive public uprising had crippled normal life in Kashmir in 2008 when tourism industry was witnessing boom time. The pro-independence leaders had alleged that the authorities had allotted a portion of land to the Hindu shrine. 

However, this time around, the authorities are taking no chances. They have restricted the activities of pro-freedom leaders to foil their agitation plan.

As winter sets in, cooking gas crisis worsens in Kashmir

As winter sets in and people shiver in the sub-zero temperature, Kashmir is facing acute shortage of cooking gas. The crisis, triggered by Indian government's decision to restrict the number of subsidised LPG cylinders to six per year on authorised connection has affected the middle class most. According to official figures, Kashmir has almost one million LPG consumers.

People say that rigorous verification process for procuring LPG connections results in unnecessary hardships. Large queues of people outside the gas outlets have become a common sight in Kashmir these days. 

Abulhassan has been waiting since morning to get his gas connection verified. He says oil companies and the government are taking people for a ride. 

Members of civil society, political parties, and trade unionists have been strongly protesting against the cap on subsidized LPG cylinders. The crisis has already resulted in one casualty. A 63-year man died of cardiac arrest two days back while waiting for his turn to get his gas connection verified. 

The energy analysts opine that Kashmir being a cold high altitude region needs more cooking gas supply to meet the demands. 

Sensing the gravity of the situation, the state government says it is treating the matter as a top priority. 

The crisis is likely to escalate further when the only road connectivity to the region gets blocked due to snowfall, and the essential supplies to this region get choked. 

The local political leaders have sounded the alarm bells, warning New Delhi that the LPG crisis may fuel another spell of unrest in Kashmir, which is witnessing uneasy calm these days.

Kashmir’s meadow narrates tale of death, destruction

Kashmir is bestowed with breathtaking locales and enchanting meadows.

Every meadow has a fascinating story to tell, but there is one meadow in central Kashmir’s Budgam area, which has not been as popular for its beauty, as for its dubious reputation of being a killer-field. 

Located at an altitude of 14,000 feet and spread over a sprawling area of more than 8 square kilometers, the alpine meadow of Tosa Maidan is one of the biggest meadows in this Himalayan region. 

In the year 1962, the state government leased out a portion of this meadow to security forces, who have been conducting artillery drills in the area for the past five decades, posing a serious threat to the lives and property. 

In the summer, the meadow turns into a firing range for airforce and military and resonates with gunfire and explosions for six long months - day in and day out. 

The residents of nearby hamlets say that more than 500 people have died and scores have been rendered permanently disabled after coming in contact with the live, unexploded shells.

Being kashmir’s biggest green pasture, the residents of nearby villages come here for livestock grazing and for fetching firewood. 

Bilal Ahmed was 12 when he stepped on an unexploded shell and it blew off his leg. He says no action was taken by the authorities on the FIR lodged by him against the security forces. Now 28, Bilal runs a tailor shop to earn his livelihood. 

Bilal strongly opposes the military drills conducted by the army in the area, and says the place should be developed as a tourist spot to save the lives of people. 

In 1993, three children of a family were killed when they were fiddling with a live shell and it went off, blowing all of them into pieces. 

Nazir says that the firing range poses a risk to their lives and livestock. 

Nazir and many other locals who have been at the receiving end are now wary of venturing in that area, as the specter of fear looms large. 

As the 50-year-old lease between the federal government in Kashmir and security forces expires in December this year, there is a growing clamour from people against the lease extension to ensure the safety of their lives and to bring an end to years of violence and mayhem.

Kashmir Lolab area home to mass graves

Three and a half hour drive through alpine forests, autumn meadows, beautiful orchards, overlooking snow-capped mountains, leads us to one of the most exotic places in Indian-controlled Kashmir - Lolab.

However, there is an ugly truth hidden few feet under the earth beneath. The horrible story of one of the world’s longstanding conflicts. 

Situated close to the ceasefire line between India and Pakistan, Lolab has a graveyard where scores of unidentified bodies lie buried. Most of the graves remain unmarked. Interestingly, there are many graves with tin plates erected on them, giving numbers and details of identification of the dead buried inside. 

The graveyard hogged the headlines in 2010 when three youth who were dubbed as militants and killed near the ceasefire line and buried in this graveyard, were identified by their relatives after their pictures appeared in the press. The bodies were later exhumed. 

According to the International People's Tribunal on Human Rights and Justice in Kashmir, there are more than 60000 graves dotting the Kashmir landscape and every grave has a story - a tragic story - to tell. 

In 2011, state-run human rights commission confirmed the presence of scores of unmarked mass graves across 55 villages of north Kashmir, carrying over 2000 unidentified bodies. 

The authorities claimed that the graves carry the bodies of foreign militants killed in counter unrest operations. However, the International People's Tribunal on Human Rights and Justice (PTHRJ), in its report, rebuffed the government version and said the graveyards investigated carried mostly the bodies of those mowed down in fake encounters between 1990 and 2009. 

Despite incessant pleas by the commission, the government authorities in Kashmir turned down the demand for wide-scale DNA testing of bodies in these unmarked graves. 

With alleged government indifference, critics say the human rights violations continue unabated in this disputed Himalayan region and the people are now demanding their right to self determination and independence from India.

Kashmiri ulemas urge Muslims to boycott US, Israeli products

SRINAGAR, Sep 17: Enraged by anti-Islam American film, Jammu and Kashmir Muttahida Ulama-e Ahl-e Sunnat wal-Jamaat (MUASWJ), an amalgam of 42 religious bodies in Indian administered Kashmir, has urged Muslim world to boycott Israeli and American products “to give a befitting reply to the USA and its allies”.

“Muslims can never tolerate any disrespect shown towards our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It (making of anti-Islam film) has hurt the religious sentiments of entire Muslim community and has enraged the Muslims world.

American goods should be boycotted worldwide to give them a befitting reply. I urge the Muslim world not to buy Israeli or American products,” patron of the amalgam told media persons at a press conference in Srinagar, the capital city of Kashmir, on Sunday. “We will also consult the OIC and persuade it to enforce the boycott.”

He said that a delegation of the amalgam will soon visit the embassies of Muslim nations in New Delhi and will meet the envoys.

“We will try to take their governments into confidence regarding the proposal,” he said.

The MUASWJ also appealed to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to convene a special session to condemn the act.

“OIC must convene a special session to condemn this act and to reign in anti-Muslim forces so that such blasphemous acts are not repeated in future. Efforts should be made to stop the vicious propaganda against Islam, Quran and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH),” MUASWJ patron added.

Castigating the Israel-born American film maker for hurting the religious sentiments of people in the garb of freedom of expression, the MUASWJ patron said that no law in the world allows anyone to hurt the religious sentiments of people.

Pertinently, MUASWJ has given a strike call for Wednesday (September 18) to protest against the blasphemous film.

Grand Mufti of Kashmir, Mufti Bashir-ud-Din, has already issued a decree against US nationals to leave the Kashmir valley forthwith.

Ever since the US-made anti-Islam footage appeared online, massive protests have been going on in this volatile and conflict-ridden region, bordering India, Pakistan and China.

All the political parties, cutting across ideological divide, have condemned the derogatory film.
The Kashmir government has also strongly denounced the blasphemous film, saying "such acts are aimed at causing discord among the people of different faiths".

According to reports, YouTube has restricted access to the anti-Islam film in India.

“We have blocked access to the YouTube page in the Indian domain,” a Google executive told a news agency on condition of anonymity. 

'حج اتحاد اور وحدت مسلمین کا مظہر ہے'

شاہی امام مسجد فتحپوری دہلی ڈاکٹر مفتی مکرم احمد نے کہا ہے کہ مسلمانوں کو سمجھنا چاہئے کہ چھوٹی چھوٹی باتوں میں اختلاف کرنے سے ملت کمزور ہوتی ہے اور اللہ بھی ناراض ہوتا ہے۔ لہٰذا ہمیں اخلاص کے ساتھ ایک دوسرے سے مل کر اور اپنے آپ سے اختلافات کو دور کر کے امت کو مضبوط کرنے کی ضرورت ہے۔

تقریب نیوز (تنا): نئی دہلی میں منعقد دو روزہ بین الاقوامی حج کانفرنس کے سائڈ لائن پر تقریب خبر رساں ادارے (تنا) سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے شاہی امام مسجد فتحپوری دہلی ڈاکٹر مفتی مکرم احمد نے کہا: خانہ فرہنگ اسلامی جمہوریہ ایران اور دہلی اسٹیٹ حج کمیٹی کے اشتراک سے بین الاقوامی حج سیمینار کا انعقاد ایک خوش آیند قدم ہے۔ لوگوں کو معلومات ہونی چاہئے کہ حج کا اصل مقصد کیا ہے، حج کا فائدہ کیا ہے، اللہ تعالیٰ کی مرضی کیا ہے، قرآن شریف میں اور احادیث شریف میں حج سے متعلق کیا حکم ہے۔ اس کو عام کرنے کی ضرورت ہے۔ لوگ حج کو جاتے تو ہیں لیکن اُس کا پورا مقصد نہیں سمجھ پاتے۔ حج کے بنیادی مقصد کو عوام تک پہنچانے کیلئے اور لوگوں کے اندر بیداری پیدا کرنے کیلئے ایسے اجتماعات اور ایسی کانفرنسیں بہت فائدہ مند ثابت ہوسکتی ہیں۔ 

انہوں نے کہا کہ حج اتحاد اور وحدت مسلمین کا مظہر ہے اور مسلمانوں کو چاہئے حج عبادت سمجھ کر کریں نہ کہ ایک تجارتی سفر کے طور پر۔ 

ڈاکٹر مفتی مکرم احمد نے مزید کہا: اللہ اور اس کے رسول (ص) کی رضا کیلئے اگر ہم حج کرتے ہیں تو اس کے بہت فائدے ہیں۔ ہمیں عبادت کو عبادت سمجھ کے کرنا چاہئیے۔ حج کا ایک مقصد یہ بھی ہے کہ ہم ایک دوسرے سے ملاقات کرکے اتحاد، اخلاص اور محبت کا ثبوت دیں۔ اس مقصد کے ساتھ اگر ہم حج کریں گے تو اس کا فائدہ ہی الگ ہوگا۔ 

اتحاد بین المسلمین کی ضرورت پر زور دیتے ہوئے شاہی امام مسجد فتحپوری دہلی نے کہا: ہر عبادت کے اندر چاہے وہ نماز پنجگانہ، نماز جمعہ ہو،ماہ مبارک رمضان ہو، یا حج ہو، اتحاد کی بہت زیادہ ضرورت ہے۔ ہمیں اس حقیقت کو سمجھنا چاہئے کہ چھوٹی چھوٹی باتوں میں اختلاف کرنے سے ملت کمزور ہوتی ہے اور اللہ بھی ناراض ہوتا ہے۔ لہٰذا ہمیں اخلاص کے ساتھ ایک دوسرے سے مل کر اور اپنے آپ سے اختلافات کو دور کر کے امت کو مضبوط کرنے کی ضرورت ہے۔ ہر ایک کے سکھ دُکھ میں شریک ہوکر ہی ہم کامیاب ہوسکتے ہیں۔

مسلمان بلا لحاظ فرقہ و مسلک متحد ہوکر اسلام دشمن قوتوں کا مقابلہ کریں

ہندوستان کے ممتاز عالم دین اور لکھنو شھر کے امام جمعہ مولانا سید کلب جواد نقوی نے کہا ہے کہ اسلام دشمن قوتوں نے مسلمانوں کے خلاف "Divide and Annihilate" یعنی لڑاؤ اور ختم کرو کی فارمولہ اپنائی ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ افسوس اس بات کا ہے کہ اس مقصد کے حصول کے لئے خود مسلمان ان کا ساتھ دے رہے ہیں۔

تقریب خبررساں ادارے کے ایڈیٹر سید علی صفوی سے ایک خصوصی مکالمے میں مولانا سید کلب جواد نقوی نے مسلمانان جہان سے متحد ہونے کی اپیل کرتے ہوئے کہا: اسلام دشمن قوتیں مسلمانوں کے درمیان تفرقہ ڈالنے کے لئے ہر قسم کا حربہ استعمال کررہی ہیں تاکہ مسلمان ایک دوسرے کے خون کے پیاسے ہو جایئں۔ آپ دیکھئے کبھی عراق پرحملہ ہورہا ہے، کبھی لبیا پر حملہ ہورہا ہے، کبھی شام پر حملہ ہورہا ہے، کبھی یمن پہ حملہ ہورہا ہے، بحرین میں تباہی مچائی جارہی ہے، ایران کو دھمکیاں دی جارہی ہیں ۔ مقصد یہی ہے کہ مسلمانوں میں انتشار پیدا ہو اور مسلمان کمزور ہوجائیں۔ جب کمزور ہوجائینگے تو ان کو ختم کرنے کے لئے ایک ہی حملہ کافی ہوگا۔

انہوں نے کہا: اسلام دشمن قوتوں نے مسلمانوں کے خلاف “Divide and Annihilate” یعنی لڑاؤ اور ختم کرو کا فارمولہ اپنایا ہے۔ افسوس کہ مسلمان ان کا ساتھ دے رہے ہیں۔ ہمارے یہاں جب بھی جلسہ ہوتا ہے تو امریکہ کو ھدف تنقید بنایا جاتا ہے لیکن جو ہمارے اپنے لوگ امریکہ کی مدد کر رہے ہیں ان کا نام لینے سے اعتراض کیا جاتا ہے۔ وہ یہ کہتے ہیں کہ امریکہ نے عراق میں تباہی مچائی مگر یہ نہیں کہتے کہ امریکہ کے ہوائی جہاز کہاں سے اُڑھے تھے، کن کن ملکوں نے اپنے ہوائی اڈے دئے، کن کن ملکوں نے اپنے ساحل دئے۔ جب مسلمانوں نے امریکہ کا ساتھ دیا تب امریکہ عراق پر حملہ کرنے میں کامیاب ہوا۔ ایک مرتبہ مولانا محمود مدنی صاحب نے میرے سامنے فرمایا کہ سعودی عرب میں امریکہ کی اتنی فوج موجود ہیں کہ صرف بارہ منٹ میں وہ پورے سعودی عرب پر قبضہ کرسکتی ہیں۔ جو بھی امریکہ کا حکم ہوتا ہے عرب ممالک اس کی تعمیل میں لگ جاتے ہیں۔ 

مولانا کلب جواد نے کہا کہ اس وقت مسلمانوں کی سب سے بڑی ضرورت یہ ہے کہ وہ سیسہ پلائی ہوئی دیوار کے مانند متحد ہوجائیں تاکہ دشمن ٹکرا ٹکرا کر واپس ہوجائے اور مسلمانوں کو نقصان نہ پہنچا سکے۔ یہ تبھی ممکن ہے جب سب مسلمان بلا لحاظ مذہب(مسلک) و فرقہ ایک پلیٹ فارم پر آئینگے اور متحد ہوکر اسلام دشمن قوتوں کی سازشوں کا مقابلہ کرینگے۔ 

لکھنو شھر کے امام جمعہ نے کہا کہ جو مسلمانوں کو آپس میں لڑوائے گا وہ مسلمانوں کا دشمن ہے اور جو اتحاد پیدا کرے وہی صحیح معنوں میں مسلمانوں کا دوست ہے۔ اگر یہ بات مسلمان سمجھیں تو میں سمجھتا ہوں کہ اس میں مسلمانوں کی امان ہے۔ 

مولانا سید کلب جواد نے اسلام میں اجتماعیت کی اہمیت کو بیان کرتے ہوئے کہا: اسلام میں اجتماعیت کی اہمیت غیر معمولی ہے۔ اسلام میں عبادت کا تصور باقی مذاہب سے برعکس ہے۔ ہر مذہب میں اسی عبادت کو زیادہ پسند کیا جاتا ہے جو تنہائی میں ہو مگر اسلام میں عبادت کا تصور یہ ہے کہ جتنا بڑا اجتماع ہوگا عبادت کرنے والے کو اتنا زیادہ ثواب ملے گا۔ یہی وجہ ہے کہ اسلام میں نماز جماعت کی تاکید کئی گئی ہے۔ اب کوئی سوال کرے گا کہ عبادت تو انفرادی عمل ہے، اللہ اور بندے کے درمیان ربط کا نام ہے، تو پھر اجتماع کی کیا ضرورت ہے۔ دراصل مقصد یہ ہے کہ آپس میں محبت پیدا ہو، آپس میں اتحاد پیدا ہو، آپسی اختلافات دور ہوں۔ جب روزانہ پانچ وقت سب مسجد میں جمع ہونگے تو آپسی غلط فہمیاں دور ہونگی، آپسی اختلافات دور ہونگے۔ اسی طرح جب جمعہ کے موقع پر شہر کے لوگ جمع ہونگے تو شہر کے مسلمانوں میں آپس میں اتحاد پیدا ہوگا۔ جب عیدین کے موقع پر نماز عید کی تقریب میں آس پاس کے علاقوں کے لوگ آئینگے تو پھر اتحاد میں اور زیادہ اضافہ ہوگا۔ اسی طرح حج میں جب ساری دنیا کے مسلمان جمع ہونگے تو اتحاد کو اور زیادہ مستحکم بنانے کا موقع ملے گا۔ اجتماعیت کا جو بنیادی فلسفہ ہے وہ اتحاد اسلامی ہے۔ مقصد یہی ہے کہ آپس میں اختلافات دور ہوجائیں، دشمنوں کی سازشیں ناکام ہوں، فتنہ ناکام ہو اور مسلمان آپس میں متحد ہوجائیں۔ 

'Hajj is symbol of unity and proximity of Muslims worldwide'

Dr Karim Najafi, Deputy International, Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Islamic Republic of Iran, has said that Hajj is the symbol of unity and proximity of Muslims worldwide. He said irrespective of their ethnicity, race, color, linguistic and cultural diversity, and geographical location, Muslims from all walks of life assemble in Mecca to demonstrate their strength and cohesiveness.

In an exclusive interview with TNA editor, Syed Ali Safvi, on the sidelines of international Hajj conference in New Delhi, former Cultural Counsellor, Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in New Delhi, and presently Deputy International, Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr Karim Najafi Barzegar, said that Hajj is the greatest manifestation of Muslim unity. 

“God invites Muslims, irrespective of creed or sect, to the place of peace and brotherhood. Hajj is the embodiment of unity and solidarity among Muslims,” he said. 

Stressing the need for unity among Muslims, Dr Najafi, who earned his doctoral degree at India’s prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), said anti-Muslim forces have launched a vicious propaganda campaign against Islam and efforts are being made to divide Muslims on sectarian lines. 

“There is a greater need for unity among the Muslims. We must try to implement the unity message of Hajj in our lives and get united to foil the nefarious designs of enemies,” he said. 

Referring to the international Hajj conference, Dr Najafi, who had come from Iran to attend the conference, said that the organizers received 40 articles written by Indian and Iranian scholars on the importance of Hajj. 

“Most of the write-ups have underscored the importance of unity and proximity among Muslims, which, to me, is need of the hour,” he said. 

He said that last year the Iranian Cultural House had received Hajj messages from India’s top political personalities like Mr Salman Khurshid, Dr Farooq Abdullah, and Mrs Sheila Dixit. 

“All of them called for promotion of inter-religious harmony,” he said. 

The envoy speaks: Has Iran changed its Kashmir policy?

The chief architect of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Ayatollah Ruhullah Khomeini, once refused to meet a visiting Indian delegation of ministers as a mark of protest against State-backed violence and atrocities in the conflict-torn region of Kashmir – the land of his ancestry. He unequivocally affirmed his support and solidarity for the oppressed people of Kashmir by making it amply clear that it was imperative on Indian government to stop injustice in Kashmir, to see any improvement in the Indo-Iran ties.
Following on the Kashmir policy of his predecessor, in November 2011, Iranian Supreme leader Ayatollah Imam Khamenie, in his message to Hajj pilgrims, urged the world community to pledge their support for the struggle in Kashmir, besides other conflict zones of the world.
“The major duties of the elite of the Islamic Ummah is to provide help to the Palestinian nation and the besieged people of Gaza, to sympathise and provide assistance to the nations of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq and Kashmir, to engage in struggle and resistance against the aggressions of the United States and the Zionist regime,” Ayatollah Khamenei said. This statement raised many eyebrows in New Delhi, and they felt Iran was “questioning India's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
There is no denying the fact that Iran - champion of world’s oppressed people – has always supported the aspirations of the people of Kashmir. Ayatullah Khamenie makes it a point to mention Kashmir and Palestine at every Friday prayer in Tehran University. Kashmir is seen as an “occupied territory”, much to the chagrin of India, considered a key Iranian ally.
In this backdrop, the recent visit of Iranian envoy to Kashmir and his rather strange and oblivious stance on the Kashmir problem has raised more questions than answers.
It was after over a decade that a senior diplomat from Iran visited (or was allowed to visit) Kashmir.
Over the last few years, the powers-that-be have went out of their way to roll out the red carpet to those who were earlier considered persona non grata in Kashmir. Of course, there is a method to this madness. Iranian envoy is one of them.
The separatist camp saw the visit of Iranian envoy to Kashmir as a good opportunity to lobby for Iranian support to pressurize India to settle the long standing imbroglio, in accordance to the aspirations of people.
However, the much-hyped visit of the Iranian envoy turned out to be a dampener. During his two-day stay in the valley, the envoy addressed seven functions organized to mark the 23rd death anniversary of Ayatollah Khomeini. But, to the surprise of many, he chose to remain tight lipped on Kashmir issue, despite being provoked by Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Yasin Malik at a function in Hotel Jehangir.
Has Iran changed its traditional Kashmir policy because it does not want to earn the wrath of its important ally India?  Has Hurriyat failed to draw the attention of Iranian envoys towards the plight of Kashmiri people? Or, was it all a pre-planned conspiracy in which Hurriyat, like others, also played its part?
Iranian envoy landed at Srinagar airport on June 3 on his maiden visit to Kashmir, and straight drove to Lalit Grand Palace hotel, where he addressed a select gathering of Kashmiri separatists and mainstream leaders over the luncheon. It was not clear who played the host at the mega event. Even though envoy presented himself as the host, but it clearly looked like a state-managed show.
The invitees had been carefully chosen to suit the interest of the government. Absence of some popular separatist figures in the function raised many a brow and exploded many a myth.
In his speech to the audience comprising of Hurriyat Conference chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, JKLF chairman, Yasin Malik, Hurriyat Conference executive member, Aga Syed Hassan Moosvi, Democratic Freedom Party president, Shabir Ahmad Shah, J&K National Front chairman, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, state legislators Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, Moulvi Iftikhar Ansari, Mohammad Yusuf Tarigami, beside others, Mehdi Nabizadeh waxed eloquent about growing trade ties between India and Iran, and said that India and Iran will encourage forging of closer ties, which unmistakably did not go down well with the separatist leaders present at the event.
This was followed by another function organised by J&K Anjuman-e Sharie Shian, a constituent of Hurriyat Conference executive council, at Hotel Jehangir in the heart of Srinagar city.
Hurriyat leaders wanted to use this stage to counter the Iranian ambassador’s “callous” speech at Grand Palace hotel a day before.
Speaking on the occasion, visibly upset Yasin Malik, termed Nabizadeh’s Grand Palace speech as completely “undiplomatic” and “uncivilized”.  He went on to speak about Ayatollah Khomeini’s struggle and his stand on Kashmir issue, and urged the Iranian authorities to break their silence on this disputed Himalayan region.
However, even Malik’s speech failed to impress ambassador, who mentioned Palestine, Syria, Bahrain in his speech but again chose to remain tightlipped on Kashmir, prompting Yasin Malik and Mirwaiz Umar to exchange glances and laugh in disenchantment.
It was left to Mirwaiz to strike the right chord, but even that was not enough to prevent an inevitable anti-climax.
Stating that “Iran-e Kabir” has a major responsibility towards “Iran-e Sagheer”, Mirwaiz said that Iran shares good relations with both India and Pakistan, and therefore it can play an important role in impressing upon the two Asian estranged neighbours to resolve the Kashmir issue.
The separatist show at the Hotel Jehangir was complete flop as it failed in its objective. The function which promised high voltage action turned out to be a mere photo op.
Instead of blaming the Iranian diplomat’s apparently bad calculation, Hurriyat’s poor home work must be blamed for it. Unlike the state government, the separatists did not deem it necessary to brief the envoy prior to the function.
Despite reeling under all sorts of international pressure and economic sanctions, Iran has continued its full support for oppressed nations in the world, including Kashmir. Just because Iranian envoy did not directly mention Kashmir issue in his speeches, we cannot dismiss the role and support of Iran viz-à-viz Kashmir struggle.
The problem with Hurriyat is that it has not yet come out openly and unambiguously to make its policy and affiliation public. Hurriyat cannot and must not expect Iran’s support while sitting in the lap of Uncle Sam. There is a need to draw a line. You can’t seek help from Iran and America in the same breath. I wonder how they expect America – the country that has shed blood of thousands of Muslims – to champion the cause of Muslim-dominated Kashmir region.
As far as Iran is concerned, it has always strongly voiced its support to Kashmir, and has bracketed the situation in the region with Palestine and Afghanistan. Be it Ayatollah Khomeini or Ayatollah Khamenie, Kashmir has figured prominently in their speeches.
On November 16, 1965, addressing a gathering at Masjid Sheikh Ansari in Iraq, Ayatollah Khomeini, while proclaiming his programme for the Muslim world, had expressed deep regret about the disunity prevailing among the Muslims and blamed it for all the trouble besetting Muslims.
“Had Muslim nations been united these handful of Jews could have never taken the land of Palestine away from the Palestinians. Had they been united, ill-fated India could have never snatched our dear Kashmir from us,” Khomeini lamented, and urged the Muslim rulers and Islamic scholars to sit together and introspect.
“Guard the boundaries of your respective nations, but unite against your common enemy… Your enemies want to have access to and to have control over your natural resources. They will never allow Muslims to unite,” Khomeini said.
Similarly, Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei has repeatedly expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
The need of hour is to go back to trenches and re-discover the objectives and the spirit. Separatist leaders need to shun their ambivalence, duplicity, internal differences, and focus on the task at hand. The movement needs to be organized in a manner that world leaders are forced to pay attention to our plight and problem. The weak separatist leadership means the weak Kashmir and this movement can ill afford that in the present circumstances.

مسلمانوں کو چاہیے توحید، رسالت اور ولایت کا دامن تھام لیں اسی میں ہم سب کی امان ہے

آپ کی نظر میں تقریب مذاہب کویقینی بنانے کے لئے کیا طریقہ کار استعمال میں آنا چاہئے؟
ہم سب کو ایک دوسرے کے مجالس و محافل میں شامل اور ایک دوسرے کے نظریات کو سن لینا اور ایک دوسرے کے خیالات سے متعارف ہونا چاہئے۔ ہمیں چاہئے کہ ایک دوسرے کے اختلافات کو سمجھنے کی کوشش کریں اور ان کا حل تلاش کریں۔ اگر کسی جگہ کوئی اختلاف ہم میں پایا جاتا ہے تو اس کو صحیح ڈھنگ سے حل کرنے کی کوشش کرنی چاہئے۔

تقریب بین المذاہب اسلامی کے حوالے سے علماء کا کیا کردار بنتا ہے ؟
میری نظر میں علماء کا سب سے بڑا اور اہم رول تقریب کے حوالے سے بنتا ہے۔ علماء ہی کسی قوم کے بنانے اور بگاڑنے کے ذمہ دار ہیں ۔ اگر علماء میں زیادہ سے زیادہ سنجیدگی پائی جائے ، زیادہ سے زیادہ فراغ دلی پائی جائے ، تخیلات اور تصورات میں ایک ہم آہنگی پائی جائے تو وہ باہمی طور پر اختلافات کا تدارک کرسکتے ہیں۔

مختلف مذاہب کے ماننے والوں کے درمیان دوستی اور محبت قائم کرنے کا کیا طریقہ کار ہوسکتا ہے ؟
میری نظر میں مذہب ایک ہی ہے ‘‘ان الدّین عنداللہ الاسلام’’ ۔ جعفری بھی اسلام کو مانتے ہیں ، سنی بھی اسلام کو مانتے ہیں، اہل حدیث بھی اسلام کو ہی مانتے ہیں ۔ غرض سب اسلام کو ہی مانتے ہیں البتہ اپنانے کا طریقہ انہوں نے الگ الگ اختیار کیا ہوا ہے۔

اس میں کوئی شک نہیں کہ فقہ جعفریہ اور حنفیہ میں کافی اشتراک ہے۔ حضرت ابو حنیفہ رحمۃ اللہ علیہ نے حضرت امام جعفر صادق علیہ السلام سے علم حاصل کیا ہے۔ لہٰذا یہ کوئی عجیب یا نئی بات نہیں کہ شیعہ اور حنفی مسلک میں کافی کچھ مشترک ہے۔

آپ خود مفتی اعظم ہیں۔ اسلام کے نام پر جو غیر اسلامی فتوے صادر کرتے ہیں ان کے ساتھ کیا سلوک کرنا چاہئے؟
فتویٰ اگر اسلامی اصول پر مبی صادر کیا جائے تو فتوی ہو گا ورنہ نہیں۔ کیونکہ فتوی پوری تحقیق کے بعد صادر ہوتا ہے البتہ اگر کسی نے رسول اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی شان میں گستاخی کی ہو، یا خلفای راشدین یا ائمہ کی شان میں گستاخی کی ہو تو اس صورت میں کسی تامل کے بغیر فتویٰ صادر کرنا ضروری ہے۔ اور کسی مفتی کو دوسرے عقیدوں کی دل آزاری کی اجازت نہیں ہے اگر کسی نے غیر مسلمانوں کی عبادگاہوں کو منہدم کرنے کا فتوی دیا ہو وہ اسکی ذاتی رائے ہو سکتی ہے فتوی نہیں ،کیونکہ ایسی رائے میں اسلام کا کوئی عمل دخل نہیں ہے۔

کانفرنسوں اور اجلاسوں کے انعقاد سے تقریب بین المذاہب اسلامی کا کس حد تک رول رہ سکتا ہے ؟ 
اسلامی مسلکوں کو قریب لانے کیلئے کانفرنسوں اور اجلاسوں کا بہت اہم رول ہے۔ اگر ہم ایک ساتھ ایک ہی اسٹیج بنائیں تو اس سے لوگوں کے دلوں میں زبردست اثر پیدا ہوتا ہے۔

تقریب کی ثقافت کو وجود میں لانے کے لئے کون سا طریقہ کار مؤثر ثابت ہوسکتا ہے؟
تبلیغ سے، اشاعت سے، آپسی ملاقاتوں سے اور ایک دوسرے کے ساتھ مل بیٹھ کر ، ایک دوسرے کے خیالات جانکر اور بھائی چارے کی فضا قائم کرکے ہم ایک دوسرے کی غلط فہمیوں کو بھی دور کرسکتے ہیں اور ایک دوسرے کے قریب بھی آسکتے ہیں اور اسی کو تقریب کی ثقافت بھی کہہ سکتے ہیں۔چونکہ وقت کی یہ بہت اہم ضرورت ہے۔ اس وقت دنیا کا جو رجحان ہے وہ تخریب کی طرف جا رہا ہے اور تعمیر کا تقاضا یہی ہے کہ تخریبی عناصر کو ابھرنے نہ دیا جائے بلکہ تقریب کی ضمانت فراہم کی جائے۔

یہ آئے دن میڈیا میں جو بیانات آرہے ہیں کہ کشمیر میں ایک حکمت عملی کے تحت فرقہ وارانہ کشیدگی کو ہوا دینے کی کوشش کی جارہی ہے، یہ کس حد تک صحیح ہے ؟
یہ بالکل غلط ہے اور محض دماغی اختراع ہے اور کچھ نہیں۔ کشمیر میں ایک ایسی جماعت ہے جو عشق نبوی (صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ ولم) کی قائل ہے، ولایت کی قائل ہے اور اولیاء کرام کی محبت کی قائل ہے۔ ان کا احترام کرتی ہے اور ان کے افکار و خیالات کو لوگوں تک پہنچاتے ہیں ۔ اس کو مسلکی اختلافات سے وہ لوگ تعبیر کرتے ہیں جن کی دکانیں بند ہونے کا خطرہ ہے۔

اگر اختلاف ہے تو مجھے بتائیے کہ کس مسجد میں اہل سنت اور شیعہ میں لڑائی ہوئی اور وہ پرچہ کاٹنے پولیس کے پاس گئے۔ یہ محض افواہ ہے اور کچھ نہیں ۔حدیث میں ہے کہ فتنہ سویا ہوا ہے اس پر خدا کی لعنت ہو جو اس کو بیدار کرے۔

کشمیر میں الحمد للہ نہ صرف مسلمانوں کے درمیان اتحاد برقرار ہے بلکہ ہندو، مسلم ، سکھ اتحاد اصل معنوں میں قائم ہے۔ یہاں اگر کسی سے ہمار مقابلہ ہے تو وہ عیسائیت اور مرزائیت سے ہے۔

میں سمجھتا ہوں کہ اسلام میں تین چیزیں بنیادی ہیں: توحید، رسالت اور ولایت حضرت علی مرتضیٰ علیہ السلام ۔ توحید تو قائم ہے، رسالت کا دروازہ بند اور ولایت کا دروازہ تا قیام قیامت کھلا رہے گا۔ اور اگر ولایت کو آپ مسلکی اختلاف سے تعبیر کریں گے تو میں کہتا ہوں کہ میں اس مسلکی اختلاف کا قائل ہوں۔

جس ولی کو آپ دیکھیں گے اس کا سلسلہ نصب حضرت امام حسن یا حضرت امام حسین شہید کربلا علیہ السلام سے ملتا ہے۔

مجھے شاہ ولایت حضرت علی مرتضٰی کی زیارت کا شرف حاصل ہے جب میں ان کے روضہ مبارک میں داخل ہوا تو مجھ پر عجیب و غریب کیفیت طاری ہوگئی جس کو میں آج تک محسوس کر رہا ہوں۔ میں کربلا بھی گیا ہوں اور تمام مقدس مقامات کی میں نے زیارت کی ہے۔

گذشتہ چند سالوں پر ہم اگر نظر دوڑائیں تو آپ کو نہیں لگتا کہ ایک مخصوص فکر رکھنے والے علماء کرام کو نشانہ بنایا جارہا ہے ؟
بالکل۔ میں سمجھتا ہوں کہ اس کے پیچھے ایک ایسا عنصر ہے جو ان کے خیالات کے ساتھ متصادم ہیں۔ ان کو پسند نہیں کہ ہم اولیاء اللہ کے مشن کو آگے بڑھائیں۔ نتیجہ یہ کہ وہ خطرناک حربہ استعمال کرنے کے لئے آگے ہوتے ہیں ، قتل و غارت کا سہارا لیتے ہیں، کسی کو مارنے کی سازش رچتے ہیں جو کہ خود ان کی ناکامی کی علامت ہے۔

 تو آپ اس بات کا اعتراف کرتے ہیں کہ اس طرح کی سازشیں یہاں ہورہی ہیں؟
بالکل ہورہی ہیں۔ اس سے نمٹنے کے لئے ہماری یہی کوشش ہے کہ ولایت کے پیغام کو عام کریں ۔ اس کو روکنا نہیں ہے بلکہ اس کو آگے بڑھانا ہے۔ ہم اس مشن کو چلا رہے ہیں جس کو حضرت امیر کبیر میر سید علی ہمدانی رحمۃ اللہ علیہ اور حضرت غوث الاعظم شیخ عبد القادر جیلانی رحمۃ اللہ علیہ نے چلایا ہے۔ نبوت کے رموز و اثرات کو پہنچانے والے اولیاء کرام ہیں۔ چاہئے وہ اولیاء کرام گزرے ہیں یا موجود ہیں یا پید اہونے والے ہیں۔

عالم اسلام کے لئے آپ کیا پیغام دینا چاہیں گے؟
عالم اسلام کے لئے میرا یہی پیغام ہے کہ مسلمان متحد ہوجائیں، اپنے صفحوں میں اتحاد پیدا کریں اور ایک دوسرے کے نظریات کو ڈھونڈنے اور سمجھنے کی کوشش کریں۔ ایک دوسرے کا ہاتھ بٹائیں ۔ توحید ، رسالت اور ولایت کو سامنے رکھیں اسی میں ہم سب کی امان ہے۔

مکالمے کے آغاز میں مفتی اعظم کشمیر مولانا مفتی بشیر الدین احمد نے تقریب مذاہب اسلامی کے نمایندے جناب حجت الاسلام والمسلمین حاج عبدالحسین سے اتحاد و تقریبی جذبے کے حوالے سے اپنی میٹھی یادیں تازہ کرتے ہوئے کہا:
جب ایران عراق جنگ چل رہی تھی تو دہلی میں اس وقت کے عراقی سفیر نے مجھے دورۂ عراق کی دعوت دی ۔ جب میں عراق گیا تو میں نے اپنی پہلی تقریر حضرت پیر دستگیر کے روضہ مبارک پر کی جہاں تقریباً پانچ لاکھ لوگ موجود تھے۔ میں نے اپنی تقریر میں کہا کہ ایران اور عراق آپس میں دو بھائی ہیں، دو مسلمان مملکتیں ہیں جن کو ایک بہت بڑا دشمن آپس میں لڑوا رہا ہے۔ وہ دشمن اور کوئی نہیں امریکہ، برطانیہ اور سامراجی قوتیں ہیں۔ اگرچہ ان کو اس وقت میری بات گوارا نہیں ہوئی لیکن میں اپنے دل کی بات کہہ دی۔ کیا ہم نہیں جانتے کہ امریکہ ہی نے ایران اور عراق کو پہلے لڑوایا اور دونوں طرف سے لاکھوں افراد مارے گئے۔ اس کے بعد امریکہ ہی نے کویت پر حملہ کروایا۔

اس وقت مشرق وسطیٰ میں جو کچھ بھی ہورہا ہے وہ امریکہ کے اشاروں پر ہورہا ہے۔ امریکہ اسرائیل کی حفاظت کررہا ہے اور مسلمانوں کو نشانہ بنا رہا ہے۔

امریکہ کے اشارہ پر ہی لیبیا کو تباہ کیا گیا ۔ شام کے پیچھے پڑے تھے لیکن شام نے تھوڑی بہت قوت کا مظاہرہ کیا اور اب تک ایران کے پیچھے پڑے ہیں لیکن ناکام ہو رہے رہیں یقینا انہیں ایران کے خلاف کامیابی حاصل بھی نہیں ہوگی۔ 

آج کے دور میں اگر دیکھا جائے تو ایران ہی مسلمانوں کی قوت بنکر ابھر رہا ہے۔ یہ کوئی مبالغہ آمیزی نہیں بلکہ ایک حقیقت ہے کہ ایران نے پوری قوت ، ہمت اور طاقت کے ساتھ سامراجی قوتوں اور امریکہ کا مقابلہ کیا ہے۔ میں سمجھتا ہوں کہ امریکہ کہ ناکامی یقینی ہے۔

امام خمینی رحمۃ اللہ علیہ نے اپنے زمانہ میں جو شاندار رول ادا کیا اس کی نظیر ملنا بہت مشکل ہے۔ آپ دیکھئے کہ کشمیر میں بھی قیادت ابھری اور پھر بک گئی۔ اسی طرح پاکستان میں بھی قیادت ابھری مگر پھر بک گئی۔ آج پاکستان جتنا دنیا میں تباہ ہورہا ہے اتنا کوئی ملک نہیں ہورہا ہے۔ تقریباً ہر ملک کی قیادت پہلے ابھری پھر بک گئی۔ لیکن امام خمینی رحمۃ اللہ علیہ کی قیادت واحد قیادت ہے جو بکی نہیں اور اپنی ملت اور قوم کو آزادی دلائی۔

پاکستان میں جاری شیعہ نسل کشی کے پیچھے پاکستان کو توڑنے کی کوشش

ہندوستان زیر انتظام کشمیر کے سینئر علیحدگی پسند رہنما اور ڈیموکریٹک فریڈم پارٹی کے چیئرمین جناب شبیر احمد شاہ نے پاکستان میں جاری شیعوں کے قتل عام کی شدید الفاظ میں مذمت کی ہے اور پاکستانی عوام پر زور دیا ہے کہ وہ اسلام دشمن اور پاکستان دشمن عناصر سے خبر دار رہیں۔تقریب نیوز(تنا) کشمیر بیورو کے ساتھ ایک خصوصیمکالمے میں شبیر شاہ صاحب نے پاکستان میں شیعہ کشی کی شدید الفاظوں میں مذمت کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ قیام پاکستان میں شیعوں کا کلیدی رول رہا ہے جو کسی بھی صورت میں فراموش نہیں کیا جاسکتا۔پاکستان میں شیعہ سنی سب بھائی بھائی ہیں مگر جو اسلام کے اور پاکستان کے دشمن ہیں وہ ان کو ایک ساتھ نہیں دیکھ سکتے۔

جناب شاہ صاحب نے گلگت بلتستان اور ہزارہ میں جاری شیعوں کی نسل کشی کو پاکستان کو توڑنے کی سازش سے تعبیر کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ پاکستان میں جاری خون ریزی عقیدہ کی لڑائی نہیں ہے بلکہ اقتدار کی لڑائی ہے جس میں بد قسمتی سے معصوملوگوں کا استحصال کیا جارہا ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ دشمنان اسلام خصوصاً امریکہ اور یہودی مسلمانوں کو تقسیم کرنے کے لئے کافی سازشیں رچ رہی ہیں۔ وہ مسلمانوں کو متحد و منسجم نہیں دیکھنا چاہتے۔ ان کی پریشانی یہ ہے کہ اگر مسلمان ایک ہوگیا تو وہ کہیں کے نہیں رہ جائیں گے۔’’

کل جماعتی حریت کانفرنس کے مرکزی رہنما شبیر احمد شاہ نے کہا کہ مسلمانوں کو متحد کرنے میں علماء کرام کو بہت اہم رول ادا کرنا ہوگا۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ مسلمان ہوش کے ناخن لیں اور دشمنوں کی سازشوں سے ہر وقت خبردار رہیں۔

جناب شبیر شاہ نے اسلامی تعاون کانفرنس (OIC) کو فعال اور منظم بنانے کا مطالبہ کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ OIC مسلمانوں کی ایک واحد نمائندہ جماعت بن سکتی ہے۔

اتحاد بین المسلمین کے لئے ضروری ہے کہ اختلافات کو بالائے طاق رکھ کر مشترکات کو فوقیت دی جائے

تحریک صوت الاولیاء جموں و کشمیر کے بانی مولانا عبدالرشید داؤدی 1979ء میں ہندوستان زیر انتظام کشمیر کے ضلع کولگام میں پیدا ہوئے۔ اسلامی تعلیم کا آغاز انہوں نے ادارہ اسلامی تحقیقات اسلام آباد (کشمیر) سے کیا جہاں سے انہوں نے فاضلیت کی ڈگری حاصل کی اور پھر کشمیر یونیورسٹی سے بھی فاضلیت کی ڈگری حاصل کی۔ اس کے بعد مزید حصول علم کے لئے یمن تشریف لے گئے۔ 2005ء میں مولانا داؤدی نے تحریک صوت الاولیاء جموں و کشمیر کی بنیاد ڈالی اور آج اس ادارہ کا شمار کشمیر کے بڑے بڑے اداروں میں ہوتا ہے۔ اس ادارہ کا نصب العین دین اسلام کے متعلق اولیاء اللہ کے عطا کردہ عقائد و اعمال کی اشاعت, تبلیغ اور ترجمانی ہے۔ تحریک صوت الاولیاء نے عوام الناس کو دینی تعلیم سے روشناس کرنے کے لئے کشمیر میں مختلف جگہوں پر درسگاہوں اور دارالعلوم کا قیام عمل میں لایا ہے۔ سینکڑوں کی تعدا دمیں علماء ، مبلغین اور مدّرسین اس تحریک سے وابستہ ہیں اور خدمت دین و خدمت خلق انجام دے رہے ہیں۔ اس تحریک کے زیر نگران ایک ٹرسٹ بھی چل رہا ہے جو غریبوں اور محتاجوں کی مدد کرتا ہے ۔ اس کے علاوہ ادارہ ایک سہ ماہی میگزین بھی شائع کرتا ہے۔ مرکزی صوت الاولیاء میں تقریباً تین سو طلباء زیر تعلیم ہیں۔ ان کا سارا خرچہ ادارہ برداشت کرتا ہے۔ ضروریات دنیوی کو مد نظر رکھکر ان طلباء کو انگریزی اور کمپیوٹر کی بھی تعلیم دی جاتی ہے۔

برصغیر کیلئے تقریب خبررساں ادارے (تنا) کے بیورو چیف  اور عالمی مجلس برای تقریب مذاہب اسلامی کے رکن جناب حجت الاسلام والمسلمین عبدالحسین کشمیری نے جمعرات 29 مارچ کو تقریب نیوز کے کو ایڈیٹر جناب سید علی صفوی اور تقریب نیوز کے آنلاین رپورٹر آغا سید احمد موسوی کے ہمراہ ہندوستان زیر انتظام کشمیر کے ضلع اسلام آباد میں واقع تحریک صوت الاولیاء جموں و کشمیر  کے مرکز پر جاکر بانی مرکز مولانا عبدالرشید داؤودی صاحب سے ملاقات کی اور تقریب مذاہب اسلامی کے حوالے سے موالانا داؤدی صاحب سے تبادلہ خیال کیا جس کے بعد کو ایڈیٹر نے ان سے مکالمہ لیا جسکی تفصیل شرح ذیل ہے:

آپ کشمیر میں اتحاد بین المسلمین کے بہت بڑے حامی رہے ہیں۔ اس حوالہ سے آپکی کوششوں کے بارے میں ہمیں بتائیے ؟

 اتحاد بین المسلمین پر ہر مسلمان کو پہل کرنا لازمی ہے۔ لیکن جو ذمہ دار لوگ ہیں اور جو اعلیٰ عہدوں پر فائز ہیں ان پر زیادہ ذمہ داری عائد ہوتی ہے کہ وہ اتحاد بین المسلمین کے حوالہ سے اپنی خدمات انجام دیں۔ ان کو چاہئے کہ اپنے افکار اور نظریات کو صحیح ڈھنگ سے عوام کے سامنے پیشکریں اور ان باتوں سے پرہیز کریں جو مسلکی منافرت کا سبب بن سکتی ہیں۔ کوشش یہ ہونی چاہئے کہ عقائد، افکار اور نظریات کو صحیح ڈھنگ سے پیش کیا جائے کیونکہ زیادہ تر اختلافات نظریاتی اور افکاری ہیں۔

ضرورت اس بات کی ہے کہ مثبت پہلوؤں کو منفی پہلوؤں پر ترجیح دی جائے کیونکہ مثبت پہلو اختیار کر کے اتحاد بین المسلمین ممکن ہے۔ باقی جو علمی معاملات ہیں ان کو علمی حلقہ تک ہی محدود رکھا جانا چاہئے۔

اختلاف اگر علمی ہو تو باعث رحمت ہے کیونکہ اس سے دین کا فروغ ہوسکتا ہے نقصان نہیں۔ علماء کرام کو چاہئے کہ ایسی باتوں کو عوام تک نہ پہنچائے جو انتشار کا موجب بنیں۔


 چند سال قبل آپ پر ایک قاتلانہ حملہ ہوا تھا۔ اس کے پیچھے کیا محرکات تھے؟ 
 میں درواقع اس سے بے خبر ہوں۔ پیغمبر اکرم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہٖ وسلم) نے فرمایا کہ زمانہ ایسا آئے گا کہ ایک شخص کو قتل کیا جائے گا لیکن نہ قاتل کو پتہ ہوگا کہ وہ کس بنا پر قتل کر رہا ہے اور نہ مقتول کو پتہ ہوگا کہ وہ کیوں قتل ہوا۔ مجھےوہ حالات آج بخوبی نظر آتے ہے۔

میں دین کا ایک ادنیٰ خدمت گزار ہوں میری کسی سیاسی تنظیم سے کوئی وابستگی نہیں ہے۔ میں نے آج تک جو بھی کام کیا ہے فقط دین کی خاطر کیا ہے۔ میں نے خدا نخواستہ ایسا کوئی کام انجام نہیں دیا تھا جس کی وجہ سے میں اس حملہ کا مستحق بن جاتا۔

کشمیر میں اکثریت حنفی مسلک سے وابستہ لوگوں کی رہی ہے۔ چند لوگ کچھ وجوہات کی بنا پر ان کو یرغمال بنانا چاہتے ہیں ان کے علماؤں کو نشانہ بنایا جارہا ہے جو کہ ایک بہت بڑا المیہ ہے۔ ایک خاص مکتب فکر کو ٹارگیٹ بنا کر شاید وہ کچھ اور حاصل کرنا چاہتے ہیں۔ چونکہ ان کی نیت خراب ہے اسلئے وہ اپنے مقصد میں کبھی کامیاب نہیں ہوسکتے ہیں۔


 کچھ دنوں پہلے سعودی عرب سے کچھ عجیب و غریب فتوے صادر ہوئے جو اسلامی نقطۂ نظر سے صحیح نہیں ہیں اور جہاں مسلمان اقلیت میں ہیں وہاں یہ فتوے ان کے لئے خطرناک ثابت ہوسکتے ہیں ۔ آپ کا اس بارے میں کیا ردّ عمل ہے؟ 
 مسلمانوں کو ویسے بھی دہشت گرد نام دیکر بدنام کیا جاتا ہے اور ایسے جاہلانہ اور غیر ذمہ دارانہ اقدامات اٹھا کر مسلمانوں کو مزید تشدد کا شکار بنانا مناسب نہیں ہے۔ علماء کو قرآن شریف کو سامنے رکھکر فتوے صادر کرنے چاہئے۔ کسی کو خوش کرنے کے لئے ایسے فتوے صادر کرنا مناسب نہیں ہے۔ پیغمبر اکرم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہٖ وسلم) نے کہا ہے کہ زمانہ آخر میں مبلغین اور مفتیانِ عظام لوگوں کی مرضی کے مطابق فتوے صادر کریںگے۔

دین حکمت سے بھرا ہوا ہے ۔ حکمت سکھا کر اور حکمت عملا کر ہی اسلام پھیلا ہے۔ پیغمبر اکرم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہٖ وسلم) ، اہلبیت اطہار (علیہم السلام) اور صحابہ کرامؓ نے حکمت کو ترجیح دیکر دین کو پھیلایا ہے۔ ہندوستان میں جو بزرگانِ دین آئے انہوں نے بھی حکمت کو سامنے رکھکر دین کو پھیلایا۔

جہاں مغربیت، نصرانیت اور یہودیت بہت زوروں پر ہے اس دور میں ایسے فتوے صادر کرنا جن کی وجہ سے مسلمان ظلم و تشدد کا شکار ہوجائیں وہ قطعی مناسب نہیں ہے۔ مثبت حکمت عملی اپنانا بہت ضروری ہے تاکہ دین کی بھی ترویج ہوجائے اور مسلمان بھیمحفوظ رہیں۔


 کشمیر میں اتحاد بین المسلمین کے حوالے سے بہت سی کوششیں ہوئی بھی ہیں اور ہو بھی رہی ہیں لیکن عملی طور پر کچھ ظاہر نہیں ہے۔ کوئی ٹھوس سعی و کوشش مختلف مکاتب فکر کو ایک پلیٹ فارم پر لانے کی نہیں ہورہی ہے ؟ 
 میں نے قبل ازیں آپ سے عرض کیا کہ بنیادی اختلاف افکار اور نظریات میں ہے۔ جس نے اپنا کوئی آئیڈیل بنایا وہ اس پر ڈٹا ہوا ہے۔ اپنی بات چھوڑنے کے لئے کوئی تیار بھی نہیں ہے۔ اختلافات کو بالائے طاق رکھ کر مشترکات کو فوقیت دی جائے تو اتحاد ممکن ہے۔

جہاں تک اہلسنت والجماعت کی بات ہے تو ان کو منظّم کرنے کی کوششیں جاری ہیں تاکہ ہم اجتماعی طور دین کی خدمت کر سکیں۔


مدرسوں کو حکومت ہند سے مالی امداد ملنے کی جو خبر میڈیا میں آئی تھی اس بارے میں ہمیں کچھ بتائیے ؟
 ہم اپنی طرف سے کہتے ہیں کہ تحریک صوت الاولیاء نے آج تک حکومت سے نہ مالی مدد لی ہے اور نہ آئندہ لینے کا ارادہ ہے۔ ہم نے بارہا حکومت سے گذارش کی کہ جن مدارس کو مالی امداد ملتی ہے ان کی فہرست اخبارات میں شائع کریں تاکہ ان باتوں سے جو عوام میں انتشار پھیلایا جاتا ہے وہ دور ہوجاتا۔

حکومت کی بھی کوئی تعداد مقرر نہیں ۔ پہلے انہوں نے کہا کہ 372 مدرسوں کو وہ مالی امداد دیتے ہیں اور آج وہ کہتے ہیں کہ صرف 72 مدرسوں کو امداد ملتی ہے۔

ان باتوں سے ہمارے لئے مشکلات پیدا ہوتے ہیں عوام کو لگتا ہے کہ ہم کو حکومت کی طرف سے امداد ملتی ہے اس لئے ہمیں انکے چندے کی ضرورت نہیں ہے۔

ادارہ صوت الاولیاء کو حکومت کے پیسوں کی ضرورت نہیں ہے۔ یہ ادارہ عوام کا ہے وہ خود چندہ دیکر اس ادارہ کو چلاتے رہیں گے۔
